 |
Mission
. . . to provide excellent, accurate, and interesting information and resources about the American Civil War in a non-biased perspective.
Vision
. . . to educate and inspire an enthusiasm for the Civil War in everyone, from long-time historians to a new generation of students, infusing a real passion and respect for the issues over which the Civil War was fought and a personal connection to the lives that were touched by the flames of this conflict. Values
Excellence – we will do everything to the best of our ability and be perceived by the community and our customers as excellent.
Integrity – we will operate with the utmost integrity toward everyone and only publish content/images which are in the public domain or royalty free, for which we receive the rights, or original content we author.
Respect – we will treat all with respect and never allow the CWG to become a platform for any political, racial or hate-based group, such as neo-Confederates or Confederate-bashers.
Inspiration – we will create products of all kinds that inspire a love and respect for the history of the United States from1850 – 1890.
Impact – we will support the CSACW by donating 25% of our revenues so the CSACW can purchase contemporary resources, such as original letters, diaries, photos, etc.
Passion – we will strive to work from and share with others our individual passions for the Civil War and mid-to-late 19th Century American history. At the base of these passions are truth, story-telling, authentic life stories of civilians and the common soldier and, especially, an appreciation of original period items.
